Ruminations
Whose worlds these are
I think I know
They live beyond
Spacetime though
They will not see me
Trekking here
To watch their dust
Coalesce and grow
The little apes
Must think it queer
The realm in which
Their eyes peer
Between black holes
And voids through space
Stars twinkling amidst
Nothing and fear
The child gives
Mom's arm a shake
Asks of the sky's
Shimmering lake
The Verses are lovely,
Dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep
And parsecs to go
Before I sleep
And parsecs to go
Before I sleep
