Through the Garden Gate
Through the Garden Gate
Take this walk On my clouds Through the glowing Galactic shrouds You are not Wrong to deem That my quasars Are of a dream Tunneled particles Smashed for fun A single field Everything is one All that we see Or that seems Are but threads Of cosmic dreams Whose nebulae these are I think I know They live beyond Time and space though They will not see me Trekking here To watch their dust Coalesce and grow The little apes Must think it queer The realm in which Their eyes peer Between black holes And voids through space Stars twinkling amidst Nothing and fear The child gives Mom's arm a shake Asks of the sky's Shimmering lake The Verses are lovely, Dark and deep, But I have promises to keep And parsecs to go Before I sleep And parsecs to go Before I sleep
